Terms and Conditions
1.Bookings and Deposits
Upon booking your Mighty Aphrodite session a deposit of £100
will be required to secure your booking. This can be paid by
credit or debit card over the telephone or by sending a cheque.
Bookings can not be confirmed until the credit or debit card payment
has been processed or a cheque has been cleared. Where cheques
are sent the booking will be held until such time as the cheque
is banked and cleared or returned.
2.Confirmation
Once a booking has been accepted, a confirmation email or letter
will be issued detailing the dates and times of the booking as well
as confirming the deposit payment. We respectfully ask you to check
these confirmation details to ensure correctness and accuracy.
3.Cancellation
- Your right to cancel.
You have the right to cancel your session anytime within seven days of
making your booking without any financial penalty and your deposit will
be refunded in full. (NB this does not apply to late availability
bookings made within 28 days of the session date.)
- Cancellation of Session.
Whilst we will always do our very best to accommodate any cancellations
or postponements we do reserve the right to make the following charges
with respect to your session fees where we feel it necessary to minimise
our losses due to your cancellation or postponement.
- Cancellation with more than 28 days notice:–
A refund of your deposit will be made minus a £5 fee to cover card
transaction charges and administration costs.
- Cancellation with less that 28 days notice:–
Your deposit payment will be forfeit.
- Cancellation of less than 7 days notice:-
Your deposit will be forfeit and we reserve the right to make a
cancellation charge of £100 to cover lost revenues. This fee will
be charged to the credit or debit card that was used to make your
deposit payment.
4.Postponements
- Postponement with more than 28 days notice:-
Your deposit will be held towards your new booking.
- Postponement with less than 28 days notice:-
Every attempt will be made to fill your appointment by notifying other
prospective clients. In the event of us being able to book another
client into this date, then your deposit will be held towards your
new booking. If the date cannot be filled, your deposit will be
forfeit and you will need to pay a new deposit to book another date.
- Postponement of less than 7 days notice:-
This will be treated as a cancellation – see 3v
5.Punctuality
Please ensure you are on time for your session as late arrivals can
have a knock on effect to other appointments. We will always do our
very best to accommodate our clients who have experienced travel problems
or other difficulties which may cause delay in arriving at our studio
but to be fair to our other clients and staff who may be affected by
late arrivals we reserve the right to implement the following.
- Up to 30 minutes late for your session:-
Whilst not ideal we will where possible make every attempt to absorb this
time so as not to have a detrimental effect on your session. However,
we respectfully reserve the right to deduct this time from your overall session time.
- More than 30 minutes late for your session :-
Arriving more than 30 minutes late for a session can have
a detrimental effect on the shoot and where we feel it unfeasible
to continue with the shoot or be unable produce enough quality
images in the time given to produce the final product then we
respectfully reserve the right to cancel the session and treat
the session as cancelled by the client as above (3 v).
6.Choosing Your Images
Whilst we do not want to rush our clients into making decisions
with regard to their final images we do have to place a time limit
on letting us have the list of choices for editing and printing as
long delays can have financial implications on us with regard to
the annual price increases of albums and printing. We therefore
request that you observe the following timescales.
- For Package One & Package Two please ensure that you provide us
with your choices of images for editing within three months of your session.
From the time we inform you that the edit is complete please ensure
you confirm your final choices within three weeks.
- For Package Three & the Calendar Package please ensure that you
provide us with your choices of images for editing within six weeks
of your session. From the time we inform you that the edit is
complete please ensure you confirm your final choices within three weeks.
- Where we receive notification of your choices outside of these
timescales and where their has been an increase from our suppliers
that cause a financial loss as a result of the late notification we
respectfully reserve the right to make an additional charge to cover
these costs.
- Images will be kept on file for 12 months only. If we do not receive
your choices within 12 months of your session date the files will
be deleted without further notice.
7.Delivery and Collections
- Unless otherwise requested all items will be despatched by Courier
using a Next Day service and charged for at cost price plus a small
charge for postage & packing. At present that is £9 for all standard
package albums and calendars.
- Items may be collected in person by prior arrangement in which
case no delivery or packaging charge will be made.
NB collections must be made during our normal working hours –
9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
8.Payment
- Sessions will be paid for in full on the day of session on completion
of the shoot. Payment can be made by cash, or credit/debit card. We no longer
accept personal cheques for payment of the balance of photo shoots.
- Payment for package upgrades and additional products must be
made at the time of ordering. Please note that no editing/finishing
will commence on extra images or products until full payment has been received.
