Val's Story
On the day of the shoot, I was terrified! I flew down from Scotland and coming from the airport,
I was off the bus and straight into the nearest shop for a bottle of wine to calm the nerves.
It was great to see that Leigh and Zena were just 'normal' people. At first, I was really embarrassed
about revealing my body, but then, before you know it, you're wandering around starkers without a second thought!
They didn't even raise an eyebrow at my request for a glass (for my wine) at 11 o'clock in the morning!
It took a little time (not used to seeing myself like that), but the pictures are so gorgeous that you
can't help but feel great about them, yourself and your (amazingly, not now quite so imperfect) body.
I look at the pictures now and still think "My God, that's me!" The pictures are fabulous and they
have definitely boosted my confidence. I have shown off the pictures to far too many people!
It was my husband's 50th birthday in March, and I wanted to surprise him. I did!! He loves the
pictures and looks at them often, telling me how gorgeous I am - (a real confidence booster).
It was hard keeping it a secret for 4 months though, watching 'How To Look Good Naked', he would say
"You would never do that" - and I'm thinking "if only you knew?"
My advice would be: Don't even think about worrying about it! Just do it! It will be one of your best decisions!
