Following your shoot you will be given a CD containing all the images
from your shoot in preview format to take away with you. The files on this disc allow you to view your images in the
comfort of your own home taking as long as you need to choose your final images for editing and printing.
The image files are low resolution, but are large enough to view on a 20" monitor, full screen without pixelation
or distortion and may also be used as computer desktop wallpapers and screensavers. As these files are taken directly
from the camera with no editing or colour correction they are not of a high enough quality or resolution to make
prints from. To protect the interests of both our business and our clients, these preview images are watermarked with a
discreet copyright notice.

In keeping with what is standard practice with most professional photographers throughout the industry
we never pass on the high resolution image files to our clients for a number of reasons.
The high resolution files are in effect the equivalent of the negatives from the good old days
when we used to use film. Of course in those days photographers would never give away the negatives
from a shoot as they would have no way of then producing prints. Although these days we can of
course make copies of the digital files, the principles still remain the same.
Although the copyright will always reside with the photographer, by releasing the high resolution files
we would not only lose any prospect of selling additional prints and products but also lose any control
over the quality of output from these files should the client decide to make prints from them.
This is of course extremely important to our business as our reputation is based largely on the quality of our work.
Although the unedited raw files are of a very high quality, the images still need editing and finishing prior to
printing and much of the cost of your session and any additional prints goes towards paying for this time factor
and our expertise in ensuring your prints look their very best. We also have all our computers calibrated to our
printing laboratories specifications so that what we see on our screens is what the final prints will look like.
High street printers like Boots or Jessops or online labs like Photobox, unfortunately cannot give you the same
results as a professional printing lab. We would of course also have no control over where the images were used
and it could be damaging to our business if the high resolution files were used commercially without our consent.
In our view, the prices of our additional products and enlargements is very reasonable and you are guaranteed
to be getting the highest possible quality. We have spent a lot of time searching for the best suppliers for
our products and printing and most of our suppliers only deal with professional photographers,
so their products are not available to the general public. Because we have gone through this process, you can be confident
that anything you order from us will be worth every penny.
