The Mighty Aphrodite Photographic Studio is run and owned by husband and wife team Leigh Perkins and Zena Snowdon-Perkins. We set up our studio in 2002 to do makeover photography and family portraits, but soon spotted a gap in the market. Boudoir photoshoots were very popular in the USA for a number of years before they started to filter through to the UK. But the style was very dated with lots of feather boas and soft–focus images. We wanted to offer modern sexy portraits that would appeal to women and men in the UK. In 2004 after a lot of research and test shoots with friends and amateur models, we launched Mighty Aphrodite Photography Studios. After exhibiting at Erotica UK in London, business started growing at an amazing rate and we were able to concentrate 100% on the Boudoir Portraits side of the business. This meant we could totally customise the studio for sensual and lingerie photo shoots. We came up with ideas for lots of new studio sets so that clients would have the choice of different styles for their sexy portraits. From classic glamour photo sets to the Artistic Nude set, which is best for nude portraits. We also developed our signature wetlook photography, which is perfect for people who want nude photos for Wall Art.

We do have a limit on the number of Boudoir Portrait shoots we offer each month so that we can maintain the impeccable quality of our images and customer service. There is only one Mighty Aphrodite studio - we are an independent photography studio, not a chain and we do not have franchises. The best studio sets for glamour photos are Silk Stockings Glamorous, Wet Look and The Boudoir. Glamour Photography concentrates more on you interacting with the camera and is a style of photography that appeals to men in particular. Glamour photos can be mainly lingerie portraits or can be tasteful sexy nude or semi–nude. They are sexier than the classic boudoir photo but should be like the images in FHM or GQ and never like Readers Wives!
